Ellerbrock-Norris Named Business of the Year by Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce

HASTINGS, Neb. — Ellerbrock-Norris has been named the 2024 Business of the Year by the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber made the announcement on December 18 and will celebrate its annual awards at a banquet in February.

“This is a tremendous honor and a huge testament to our team in Hastings,” Ellerbrock-Norris CEO Andy Bassett said. “We’ve been able to accomplish a lot for that community the last 12 months, and it’s been spearheaded by both our team and our clients.”

Ellerbrock-Norris has donated to or sponsored over 20 organizations in the Hastings area over the last year. Its hallmark achievement was its “Homegrown Hastings Day,” where it sent its 50 employees into the community with $100 each to spend at a locally owned business. In addition, it hosted a Business After Hours event to the Schnase 1906 District make its final fundraising push.

“Homegrown Hastings was our chance to show our support for the local businesses of the community,” Bassett said. “Reading the thank you cards and social media reactions from those businesses meant the world to us. We serve over 1,300 small businesses, and finding fun ways to support them will always be a priority at Ellerbrock-Norris.”

In addition to its Homegrown Hastings Day, Ellerbrock-Norris helped the local DAV chapter raise over $10,000 last year to help purchase a new van to transport veterans to their appointments at the VA Hospital in Grand Island.
